The dreamer

A dream,

we all do, right!

lifted the innocent heart,

to swarm the sky,

swim oceans,

unblemished by life’s ruthless realities,

years have passed,

still sleeping,

only reality the dream of hope and aspirations,

altered drastically,

by ways of the world,

journey laden with defeats struggles and molded like the rough iron,

fading in oblivion,

dreamer changed,

shaped by destiny and expectations,

drifted away from the real source,

till a realization hit him,

the mind may diverge,

unsettled as the soul is,

time has come to reclaim the glitter,

once shone,

be like he has always been,

happiness,

gentle,

easy,

wild abandon,

unfettered by bruises.

Freedom and my India

billion hearts beat together,

this is my India,

daily struggle of commoners,

men and women,

we may belong to distinct religions, castes and speak various languages,

but bound by a common destiny and ancestry,

my land preaches love and affection,

how can hatred dilute our hearts,

we shall stand to communal forces,

wrecking havoc on us,

one nation, one voice

against forces of evil,

a pledge to end poverty, hunger and malnutrition,

standing like a rock against sexism and sexual assault against women,

wipe off communal forces,

my India is a country of billions,

a prayer for change,

taking pride in our identity and root,

we invented Zero, after all,

my India,

will rise again to touch hearts.

Happy Independence Day

Rekindling old friendships and new ones

Friendship Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of August in India. Friends are the stress busters that we have and fall upon to combat ailments triggered by the rush and mundane existence combining routine of work cum life balance.  Someone truly said, 'True friendships are the ones that withstood the test of times as we emerge out of the rough times." There is a friend for every occasion, right from the ones with whom we grew together, the college friend making lifetime memories or the few ones we clicked in office and drinking buddies. In today's edgy and fast-paced life, it's not easy to keep friendships intact adding to it family responsibilities where there is a tendency to keep our folks for granted, forgetting them or some conflicts that drifted the people apart who once meant the world to each other. College days friendships remain a special one with the bums we carved rich memories, thrills, adventures, fuck ups or craziness that defined us. Reaching out to our closest buddies on friendship day is a perfect time not that we need a special day to create joy together but it makes for a great moment to rekindle old ties and bonds.

1. A phone call away

Move beyond WhatsApp and call this close friend staying far away, that the seas and oceans separated you to have a conversation, just like during the olden days. It doesn't harm speaking to a close buddy for 2 minutes no matter how busy you are in life. Today, I called few friends scattered in various parts of India and across the globe. Of course, the WhatsApp friendship day forwards means that you care but you can drop a few lines to friends on messenger, doesn't matter if you are no longer friends on social media. It leaves such a beautiful and positive feeling on your folks that played an integral part in your life.

2. Facebook friends

Har ek dost zaroori hai! Facebook friends and plain strangers have made the entire friendship thread look cool with this virtual dosti tying a virtual forever bond. I received beautiful images on my FB messenger and the little bit of conversation make us believe in this sacred relationship called friendships that transgresses everything on earth. It has been an amazing ride falling on plain strangers who are now close friends and don't hesitate in reaching out to the ones on this spaceship. It's all about making new memories and friends.

3. Respect the space

Friendship is not about being at the beck-and-call of each other but respecting the space and privacy of close friends that makes for healthy relationships. There are some rules that need to be re-written after some point while the rest should follow the same old narration. Emotions among old friends shall remain forever and certain things never change but at the same time, there is an understanding that some lines cannot be crossed to make our lifelong relations worth the ride. The secret to happy friendship and nurturing relations are the space that must be respected at all costs.

4. Never take for granted

One of my pet peeves is someone coming late for a lunch or catching up for coffee. It works both ways. It's a golden rule to never ditch a friend at the last minute or for that matter, turning extremely late. Don't keep the ones who care to wait for long for it shows a scant disrespect for the relationship.

5. Friends are no sidekick

I have always made the effort to make my friends an important priority in life and not saying abandon responsibilities to be with friends. But, it's important to shower the respect and it takes lot of time and effort to invest in relationships to make your buddies an important priority in life. Friends are family and siblings, our inner strength and never forget this truth.

6. Bond over drinks

Calling friends out of the blue for a game of chess, binge-watching on Net Flix or catching for a movie and partying with drinks is a good way to rekindle old ties. The best thing about chilling with old pals is the entire unplanned night out makes for crazy moment forever captured in the hearts and the beats strumming together like guitar.

7. Mixing friendship?

The confused and conservative me in this department is not very sure whether we should mix our tribes, right from childhood, college and work friends or acquaintances. Initially, I wasn't very sure to mix friends from various walks for drinks or dinner. It's quite a big question mark but bringing everyone socially once in a blue moon doesn't harm.

8. Friends and disagreement

Disagreeing with friends and having contrasting view on politics, religion, arts, cinema and global affairs is quite sensitive and many of us believe that by just agreeing will keep the friendship intact. Nothing farther from the truth or else we would never grow by just agreeing since stifling an opposite view because of friends always have the chances of crushing our respective individualities or harboring frustration and the lack of respect. Of course, it doesn't make an iota of sense to break friendship over Modi vs Rahul Gandhi.

Hello August!

There is something beautiful about August, intriguing and the myriad hues from the wind stars in the sky and cloud lending an exquisite charm to it like falling leaves and sighted moon.

The phone flashed on the first day of the month. It struck my senses for some reason or the other. A sheer belief that extraordinary things will jettison and can feel the strong vibes conveyed through this medium called smart front. I can sense the powerful energy.

On the work front, it's been pretty interesting beyond the drudgery of the routine tasks since there are super interesting projects lining up that will help me grow my wings by dabbling into hospitality and real estate features. I always love experimenting that way by writing on various and new genres to test the might of my pen and overcoming limitations through words. I am mulling on registering a name for a company which always wanted to start by offering editing and translation services. In today’s time, there is a need to diversify the income if you want to stand on your own and plan for the next couple of years.

The past month has been pretty much laid back like the still water with the usual things going on and not too much drama on my platter, not that I want some filmi climax of kicking people in the groin. Tons of books to read and there are eight of them, including plans to re-read The Sacred Games what with the hoopla surrounded the sit-com. Some of them, I got for free at the Book Nest in the park where I jog regularly and it’s quite a novel concept of reading and sharing where you can pick a book for free and drop one for book lovers.  I picked two novels and once done with them, they will find their place back to the nest so that it is not confined to the shelf but sharing with people as part of this circle to encourage reading.

August is the shopping therapy month for me that works wonderfully and the heart flutters with happiness to get some bare essentials like couple of shirts, socks, two pairs of new shoes to update the wardrobe. Finally, after initially resisting the temptation, I have decided to enter this world called Net Flix and going with the basic plan for USD 7. Not a bad deal with so much of sitcoms to spoil my senses. The last time, tried to register but failed with the bank account not being recognized for ludicrous reasons and as it is been planning to change my bank for the third time this year as the present one is quite fucked up with the net banking facilities. It feels spooky and entering a labyrinth with password and then some OTP.  Sadly, some banks system are as good as living in the stone age and there is something called being customer friendly which they don't get. Once the entire thing is sorting out and looking forward to the entire Net Flix experience.

Personally, it’s been a constant struggle to keep the self off sweet which is quite a hot temptation to resist. Tomorrow never comes with me. A cheat day will be kept every Friday and high time to look for a better alternative like raisins or dry food. Packaged snack is another grey area and not that I munch on them regularly but would be good to forget or wipe them from my eating senses.  It’s so easy to be tempted by the fast food which I don’t take now and a plus point because it’s unhealthy and nothing natural about them with all those artificial stuff flooding the market.

I need a pat on the back for the novel is being revived for the second consecutive time after forgetting about it for six months. The best thing about engagement on Facebook with writer friends is that they can push you to write creatively and help chuck out the mental blocks that ail creativity. An over thinking mind is screwy and how it creates a mental blockage to make your shit difficult while it should be simple in the first place. Hope the writer in me doesn’t end up being unproductive and keep working on the book until the first draft is finished. As it is, will keep two days a week doing just that and forgetting other things. Raring to see the progress made with the novel when August says bye.

Leaves of desire

Leaves whirling in the air,

speck of ruffled windy dust,

muddy patch filled with palm-shaped green, yellow and orange,

the old season fades away like a raw night consumed,

a freshly dappled sun,

quenching desires,

lust flying to find a home,

a creamy kiss,

parched lips,

tongues' saliva,

running deep,

covering circles,

steamy tea,

mind roiled into wild fantasy,

lift the veil,

burying our deepest dark secrets,

of clothes and mind,

liberate the soul,

roiled in steam,

the word calls moral,

for it knows no clutter or chains.

Fiction: Only if...

The mind drifted to the past. A city in ruins. Lives shattered. A palace adorned with gold, curvature forming semi-circles that once stood magnificently crumbled into ashes.

A lehenga flew like curtains draped on this beautiful woman and as she sashayed inside the palace, the gold-plated and embroidered silk dress became limitless to protect her flawless skin and dignity.
If only I could muster the courage to tell her how beautiful and divine she looked! But, then I was the poor son of a poor peasant belonging to the backward class who couldn’t dare to dream of love and kissing her flawless lip. A sin I would have committed. She smiled sheepishly and walked gracefully inside, waving bye to me. The princess sat like a Goddess disappeared inside the kingdom. I became mad that day. After all, love is not for paupers like me.

The night thunder blazed through the sky, the clouds wore a tint of dark and rain lashed everywhere, droplet fell on my skin and palm. The heavy rain wiped my tears as I saw the princess serenaded by the King’s son. It was a grand alliance. The princess couldn’t recognize my tears coalesced into the water. The fury of the rains like the angst and bruise of a broken heart refused to be cowed by the stream of tears, I sought refuge in the cheap liquor sitting all drenched, cursing my life, destiny and tragedy of being alive. Death would have been my liberation. I would avenge from destiny and destroy wealth accumulated at our cost, caste and poverty. They shall not mock the poor anymore.

Love shall wield the power of a devil. Love shall wreck havoc on them against us. Oppose love and you shall burn in hell. Love will be the new religion, of closure and hell.

The decision was taken. The storm shall never pass! A man hurt in love has just lost his sanity and the liquor turned me into a one-man bruised mob, zigzagging in the dark night, gyrated in the dance of anger and stood in front of the mighty palace. The rain has stopped. I promised that no single tear would be shed and the finger flicked the matchstick to light the fire. All the riches in the world were brought down, erased and turn into ashes. If only I could tell the princess! The intense and passionate love that ravaged a heart to death. Only if!

Fiction: The boy and the cream roll

The small, dingy shop stood rooted as a lone sight between the paddy, green field and muddy cultivation in the faraway outskirt town cut off from the humdrum of life. A barely visible but elongated trench found its way and covered by thick, long grasses that could be only visible by sharp eyes as farmers and cultivators routinely plodded their tiring soles.

A little boy walked barefoot battling the scorching sun on days and on a rainy morning with the water hitting the face like arrows to stand for hours in front of the shop.  He wore a wry expression and eyes bobbed at the cheap pastry and samoosa but never asked the shop owner for a single piece of the fried, thick dough coated with white cream. The black eyes furtively scanned the plowed fields and as luck would have it, a truck carrying horde of workers decked in lungi sitting atop the huge gunny sack screeched on the mud and dust sprinkling on the face of the little boy. He never wiped his face and was elated with joy. The goodies lying in the shop and flies hovering above them occupied his tiny mind.  Perhaps, poverty and a growling stomach taught him never to approach the shop owner or the thought of running away with a delicacy to crave the stomach to bliss eluded him.

One sunny afternoon, the eyes of the tiny boy gleamed at the white buffalo, slowly trotting its way in the far away field, surrounded by green leaves and trees. A cheap salwar kameez was thrown in the stable where the horse tied inside looked at the cloth and struggling to tear it apart with the hock. A rough hand flitted past the white and soiled bra, hands caressing and cupped his mouth within an inch of the female boob.  Moaning was lost to the world of cultivation and the wind wafting in intermittent burst.

The man cupped his lip and smacked the young village women on her mouth. She loosened the string on his pajama and hand pressed beneath the cloth. He became hard inside and pushed inside her, caressing the unchartered zone with his finger. She slouched on the grass, eyes open and mouth closed, longing for more as he penetrated her and hands tightly held to the surface with her body unmoved. She felt the force inside.

The fair village bell moaned with pleasure, eyes wearing a stillness and calmness, savoring the moment and feeling delicious as her long nails scratched his stiff skin on the back.  She quickly wrapped her salwar and the man quickly pulled his pajama suit, walking at a looming distance to not raise suspicion on the vast field. The young boy smiled and eyes darted in their direction as they sprinted towards the road.

The couple walked past the teen, who wore dark patch under his eyes and the girl brusquely stopped, pulling something beneath her pallu. The little boy grabbed the cream roll and crunched the top of the cake with his teeth, winked at her. He ran away as fast as he could on his naked feet, leaving the couple at a looming distance who disappeared in the truck pocked with field workers.

The dating checklist

Can't live with and without it? Dating. love and romance humanize us, unlike robots, to breath free air, kissing, lust and sex. Go beyond the realities of body and heart needs.  Revise your dating list. OK! Check! Groceries, condom, kinky sex and Tinder and kiss on the first date. Ain't just kidding and time to stop being like box office pundits' verdict on a movie every Friday. See, you are not going to spend the rest of your life with a date and why not be more flexible in getting to explore the person rather than discarding them on the first meeting. Here it goes:

1. He may just be admiring your gold pendent not your boobs hiding behind the white shirt unless he is behaving like a creepy despo. See, you got a valid reason and would be a sensible move to chuck him out of his eyes is staring.

2. He or she is on Tinder or Shaadi dot com. It's perfectly alright to be checking different and prospective profiles, not that this person sitting right in front of you over coffee, is already in a relationship with you. Stop pretending they are cheating on you.

3. Real life is not the mushy romance that Chetan Bhagat writes or candy floss romance where everything gotta be perfect with the knight in shining armor riding on a horse in the Swiss Alpes or the flawless beauty will flail her way like an angel dressed in white.

Image credit: Google/ https://thoughtcatalog.com/jennifer-meade/2018/02/heres-what-kind-of-boyfriend-you-are-based-on-your-birth-month/

4. Don't judge him or her by the movie or books genre they read. Honestly, that's daft and looks like you shooting for the moon. Be grounded and chill for it's an hour coffee date, where you can be at ease with each other, having a slow and calm conversation, like breezy sex. What matters is the comfort level your date brings on the table.

5. One thing about first date is that the person shouldn't monopolize the conversation but gives you a certain space to express your opinion, disagree respectfully be it politics, arts or sex. The person mustn't shunt or cut you short but calmly listen to what you have to say. It's a non-negotiable or else run as fast as you can and you may still poison them.

6. Appearances or clothes may just be an illusion to fool the eyes for it can be borrowed from a rich friend. Observe the hands of your prospective's date, eyes and gestures which may be a favorite activity to indulge on day two, day three and day four before you plunge ahead or run away. You may just treat it as time pass for remember there are lots of fish in the pond.

7. A non-compromising checklist is that my date should be well read, passionate about life, little bit crazy ever ready to experiment, harboring non-prejudices against humans of different races or nationalities. The main thing is to gel with the person even if it means a fling or non-commital kinda thing to chill together.

8. Keep your options open and look around for prospective dates since there is no sin in meeting different people with whom you can hit the ground. I am not advocating for multiple dating but it's always good to get to know different people before you can make a choice.

9. Take it slow and don't be too enthusiastic or over friendly with your date for there are many chances that they may run away. No one wants someone who is too friendly on the first meeting and play it slow, be a trusted friend and with whom the other person can feel at ease.

10. It's a date. You don't need to buy the latest gizmos or dress to impress for a tee on a blue denims will do for the dude and babe, just put this short skirt or funky denim or torn jeans or this white shirt you've been dying to. Just be yourself, wear casual comfort and daring at the same time for noone will fucking judge you.

No world for Introverts! Wanna bet!

Wanna bet on us. Introverts that we are and society have already decided that we are on a forever no talking, numb and dumb mode communicating only in sign language. Sorry to disappoint you. As an introvert, I don't feel the need to compete with the entire world to be cool, talkative and thrive on being an attention seeker to impress the universe. No! I don't feel the need to make an effort in monopolizing conversation or telling tales to the world for the interesting stuff are kept for close friends. It's not that as an introvert, I don't speak at all but believe in being choosy about the people to spend time with. As it is, there are way more important things to do rather than pushing myself as if it's a rat race in speaking to the world, being overtly friendly to strangers or striking over the top conversations.

There are some inherent traits and yes, it's about ME, MYSELF which I don't advertise to the world at Prime Time or between news break as if I am a TV channel but something many introverts would relate to.

1. Keep things personal

I like it that way to keep things very personal be it a birthday, crushes or personal friends since don't feel the need to paint the town red. My break up doesn't need to be told on social media like many do and it's something to be dissected among real close friends. As a person, I am very private when it comes to my buddies or relationships which the whole world don't need to know for being discreet gives me the much needed mental sanity.

2. Mystery

There is something very intriguing, complex and mysterious about us. Get to know us better and give me the time to warm up slowly to you, you won't find a more talkative or prankster like me. The mysterious side or if you want split personality makes me an out-of-the-world person that would not only make you go mad and lose your sleep, the moment you know me better. You can also fall in love with me.

3. Giver

Being an introvert, I believe in giving a lot to people to people, even strangers for that matter, going  out of the way to shower love without expecting anything in return. Yes, I have lost a lot in my personal equation with people or relationships where people don't return the love. It hurts and gives huge pain but learned to love and give to people without expectations. Over the years, it has become a personal trait that I can't go against. Be with an introvert and the person will sprinkle your universe by giving immense free love. As it is, don't we celebrate the joy of giving.

4. No shy observer

There is one quality about introverts is that we observe people and situation a lot that makes us score high with emotional intelligence. You will get the best advice from us introverts who are often over-thinkers, not necessarily a bright human trait but we love to assess the situation, exploring every corner to come with the best advice.

5. Weirdos

Yes, we are weirdos who find it tough to fit in a group or society for we passionately go against established norms. Rules are not for us and we hate to fit in a box on what is right or wrong, established by society. We are a bizarre lot who goes against the crowd to make our own nest, to live in, far removed from the world.

6. A rockstar world

The last scene in Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar is perhaps the most sensitive understanding of introverts where the two characters create their own world with self-defined rules that has no place for outsiders. One of the best ode to introverts, Rockstar mirror this psyche of living in dreams and one's imagination of a perfect world, alien to the conservative ways of normal. We daydream 99 percent of the time of how the world and its populace should behave like, designing conflict beautifully that makes us sensitive and hyper-creative souls.

My Gratitude List

Trying to learn new things to always be happy and unlearn how to remove the negativity inside the soul and mind, pretty much like throwing out junk food out of the system is an art many have perfected over the years. Being grateful for the smallest and extraordinary are the small wonders to nurture and treasure over time, stop whining about what we lack, cherishing the beauty, relationships or most infinite luxuries. Here sharing a gratitude list.

1. The ability to find more inner peace every single day and performing regular yoga that has made me more stable as a person.

2. A constant search for happiness and finding it in the unlikeliest place through the kindness of strangers, random joy that never cease to surprise me time and again.

3. The friends who means the world to me and connected again through WhatsApp that makes it feel like we never left each other and no matter how far away, separated by the ocean.

4. I am alive and kicking, loved and cherished meaning that Mom, no matter how much she may shout, but painstakingly make food for me every day and her words of wisdom. She never stops surprising me with the bun that I love eating. Or, this random call from a friend sensing nothing is wrong and keep pushing me to take the next big step.

5. The scotch whiskey or the constant trip to the coffee shop that I can afford in comparison to a few years ago with no job and being broke.

6.  I am youthful in heart, mind and soul, not ailing from maladies that make me indulge in healthy flirting from time to time with girls. Keep getting the compliment about being in my late 20s which I am not and haven't changed at all. I look the same, everyone keeps telling me.

7. The ability to make silly jokes or one-liners that works wonderfully on the blog or social media.

8. I am able to write and churn creative stuff which means the fire to weave words hasn't been lost, though the writing is lagging since a while. The only thing is the need to pull my socks to be more regular with fiction and creative stuff.

9. The never dying childlike enthusiasm, wildest imagination and my killer memory that has the ability to remember every single detail lost in translation over the past 10 or 15 years.

10.  An ability to keep pushing myself and standing on the edge's cliff to make things happen as long as good health wears strong on me.

Keep the faith

A new jazz!

Empty the mind,
remove the burden,
belonging to the past,
the yesterday,
declutter the debris accumulating in the mind,
go blank,
stare at a directionless future,
explore like a new born,
sit in silence,
free from the crowd,
liberate the mind from everything,
just remove all of it,
the garbage,
emotions,
pain,
triumph,
tiny thoughts,
just cut the chord,
flush it out,
don't spare anything,
smile,
dance slowly,
let the body find the new balance,
a mind absorbing new thoughts,
get into the new jazz.

Zero Fucks to the world

Don't judge a book by its cover, in case you are this cover on whom aspersion is cast by eyes scanning every move taken which gives them an adrenaline high. I say cut the crap and stop giving a serum to the world to alter our thinking, actions, behavior or mindset. There is no shortage of assholery in this world. From now, make Zero Fucks your mantra of life that gives mental sanity and inner peace. Repeat, Zero fuck to the world and now gulp a glass of water for better health.

1. Stop looking for approval

You are not an official Government document or passport that needs a stamp by dim wit for you to venture out on your own or do things that makes you happy. Just follow the heart to heavenly bliss without a care to the world for you know people would always have things to say or throw their own yardstick of what is right or not. It's your life after all, whether the decision to marry, academic field to pursue, living independently, dating or just doing nothing.

2. Move Ahead

There is no such thing as regret and if there is, nothing you can do about it for there is more not just to life but to you as a person. The past is buried in the past and shall not be resurrected for all the money in the world. Coming to terms is an expression that should be deleted from your dictionary. Rather, make the most about everything, beat the shyness, be daring and do not hesitate at anything that makes you a rocking dude or babe.

3. Remove the fear

It's not cancer but fear is the silent killer that always harms your soul and heart every single moment. Getting some pain in the body, head straight to the doctor and don't reel in fear. Pay compliment to this beautiful girl, foray into the exams without thinking twice, sit with confidence in the toughest job interview for whatever gonna happen is bound to be.  Be a risk-taker and being adventurous makes strong men and women that no academic institutions can teach or train to become You don't need to worry about consequence since not everything lies in your hand.

 4. Failure is cool

They tell us failure is shameful and echoes a bleak future. I say failure is cool.  Trust me, on an average day, there are many people whom we hold in awe fail more times than we could ever imagine, in office, everyday life or personal relations and that's the best thing about them. Failure has defined their success which is the envy of everyone. The only thing is that humans are afraid of telling it since the ego clouds our beliefs or the reluctance to show weakness which makes us the person that we are or become. F for Failure is an intrinsic part of our existence and this vulnerability make us real and failure must be a cool thing for it sets the steam engine in motion as we learn on the way, knocked down and keep leaping ahead. Let not the world tell us that failure is a wrong thing.

5.Work & Party hard, Be a Wild Animal

Be wild. Age should not dampen the spirit. There is no substitute to hard work but also partying like a wild animal and enjoy the many layers of sex. It's pure bliss to explore not just our intellect but our body as a human being. No socially constructed mores or moral law should prevent us from leading the life we always wanted in our quest for self-growth.  Zero fuck to the world is always a good fuck. Stop this nonsense that sex is bad, partying not for good people and working hard doesn't always bring result. Booze, if you may and let not the world tell that it's immoral or against culture.

6. Don't be an overthinker

We have only one life to live and stop being an overthinker before doing things to enjoy life to a maximum. Be a risk taker and without thinking too much about it. As corny as it may get, life is indeed an icecream and enjoy it before it melts pretty much like a kiss. I am not born to fix global warming, war or protect morality and why buckle under pressure of striving to meet society's expectations of what is good or bad and morally right or wrong. Living life on my own terms is what I try. In the past, I've been an over thinker and weighing pros and cons that saw so many things slipping out of my hand or time flitting like the breeze. Enough of that and zero fuck to the world.

Fiction: The impermanence of everything

The door yanked open. A ruffle of wind in burst almost pushed the skinny body jerking upward and backward, the balance tilted just in time by the semi brown classic shoes, hand glued to the wall. The legs became numb and a burning sensation rippled through the skin as cold wave seeped through. Mike lost his way and wandered aimlessly like the night's vagabond, emptying a bottle of Vodka quenching his thirst and warming the body in the frozen winter. Alcohol washed all the pains and troubles of a broken marriage.

A floor littered with fags end, crumpled papers, alcohol bottle whose stench wafted in the dimly lit room and thick dust which would make anyone ran away. He liked it that way, the obnoxious smell of everything, the tiny bed lying in a corner and black and white TV in this garbage called a room. No one to make love to after the wife of ten years slapped the door and a lawsuit on him for his alcoholic ways or the apple of his eyes, the only two-year-old daughter adopting a new father to disown her legitimately, natural one.

The saga continued uninterruptedly like the monsoon in the city for days, weeks and months, cheap alcohol, cigarette, drugs and a new girl every night. The doting father has turned into a pleasure seeker, destroying every moment of his life every moment till the monsoon washed the entire building that crumbled and collapsed. Like every resident of the old building, there was no sign of Mark who the world told swam in blood coalesced into the angry water to meet his end. He became history. The heavy rain washed his pain and trauma which no alcohol, fags or women could do.

On the banks of Vanarasi, sat a white man adorned with wooden amulets, flower garlands and ring as the conch blew for the evening arati lighting up the old city. An old friend could recognize the fresh face behind the unkempt beard and dressed in saffron robe who whispered into his ear, "Dead to the world, how can you fool me, Sadhu Mark?" The Sadhu remain unaffected and gently touched the shoulder of the stranger, "You may be the friend to a certain Mark who died six months ago in the heavy rain. Nothing is permanent, my son and belongings are just an illusion, sex, love, life, and property. Bondage is the biggest lie. Go ahead for the arati."

The Sadhu went into his world of trance and no protest from an old chum would perturb him from his task. He was a changed man with a new identity, sprinkling blessings on travelers and visitors. The saffron-clad religious man got up, trotted his naked feet and took a dip in the Ganga.

Shower of envy

A wedge in the soul and heart,
ever heard of an empty cup!
fill it with happiness,
whip a cake of passion,
standing alone,
that’s alright,
drench in the rain,
swirl the lip with water,
taste it,
a shower of envy,
wipe the worries and trouble,
the water of life,
soaking the sand carrying our burden,
to make it light,
design this heaven on earth,
water is lead,
rinse pessimism,
lead life and love.

The 'I' commandments of life

1. The 'I' residing in me shall sparkle with divinity and practice oneness with the cosmic energy.

2. I shall stop being so conscious and over think about my acts, letting loose and embracing body, mind and soul.

3. I am and only I matter and nothing else.

4. I shall never be afraid of failure and take risks while plunging inside the deep waters.

5. I shall harbor no prejudice for the human race, religion and ethnic, countries or lesser humans be it people with different sexual orientation, political and cultural beliefs.

6. I shall fight till the end to conquer, and no spoken words or defeatist purpose shall overpower or distract me towards my goals.

7. I shall be graceful and not hold anything in spreading love, happiness and light to the world.

8. I shall always take pride in being who I am and no society rules can ever fuck my mind or alter deeply seated beliefs, values or ideologies.

9. I shall dance to my tunes, compose music for my senses and act in the movie of a life designed by myself.

10. I shall take things easy, unburden myself from worldly pleasures and make free love to my soul spreading in the universe like virus.

Coffee and spilled secrets

Coffee mate,
Where art thou!
sexy conversation,
sensor to the brain,
moment of truth,
imaginary friend and coffee,
mug cusped to the face,
brain concocting countless stories,
painting expression,
 humans and their sordid tales,
slathering colors to the canvas,
ears wide open,
preening on secrets spilled out,
who says coffee is alone time?
Tale of a dog’s sniff,
morning raga,
love,
lust,
nothingness and immense,
coffee date with me,
is the uncensored book,
of the strangers’ darkest secrets.

Intimate secret

Curly tresses slithering my face,
scent of her jet black hair,
kissing,
a peck on her forehead, face and neck,
killing time,
it ain't love,
pink lip,
intense eyes,
caress,
tight hug,
our bosoms met,
adrenaline rushing,
electrifying spurt,
rich encounter with the fiesty woman,
wearing innocence,
naked finger,
i faked an orgasm,
the ring lost,
we drop everything,
for pleasure,
in anger,
reaching a limit only ghouls could dare,
mesmerizing beauty,
she captured my senses,
i am knocked down,
as my hands touch her flawless skin.

the mirror of thoughts!

The mirror,
my shadow,
painting colors to my shade,
the real,
and unfiltered me,
the only place I cannot hide,
hold the mirror,
dreams,
flaws,
scars,
pain,
angst,
i wear myself,
chuck out the cloak,
putting self doubts to bed,
naked soul comes alive,
no fear of being judged,
face the ugly,
go uninterrupted,
no censor of words or thoughts,
fancying this hot woman,
say it to the mirror,
a sin is no sin.

One liners and words! Come and play!

Words fascinate me endlessly.  I am in awe of creative folks who can come with the zaniest tags, smart poetry in the form of humor or concocting stories in one or two lines and get swayed by the liquor of thoughts. Of late, been trying my wordplay on Facebook to post as my status and shall try some quirky fun on this blog but unsure it would have the desired impact on super creative minds. Let's go:

1. Coffee was steered to perfection till I realize the grains were coalesced in the sink's water stream.

2. You told me to stop loving you because there was someone better than the best.

3. During the climax, we practised foreplay that fizzled and popped like the balloon bursting like gum.

4. The hapless goal keeper looked for the ball inside his pocket when it lay inside the net.

5. The time she took to smile at me, my love letter was already inside the bin.

6. I sweated and trudged to reach the top of the tree to pluck the last apple only to realize Adam and Eve wolfed it to bliss.

7. They were spared for loving passionately and now counting stars in the sky.

8. There was no one before and after you till I found your bestie.

9. A kiss melted the lips for there was no ice cream to quench the thirst.

10. I wasn't a virgin till I flew in Virgin Atlantic.
