Who am I?

meaningless form in clay,

molded into human,

my skin,

raw nerves,

emotions,

are they all fake?

is the energy only real?

why this fear to facing the mirror?

tapping into the energy’s pulses?

am I really real!

or a mere shallow shadow,

may be!

actually got a better idea,

 paler version of my own self,

wrinkled! skins shall be,

hair shall be grey one day,

if it’s not already!

dyeing to hide the greyish stresses,

like the smile covering the flaws, angst, pain and real me!

still a question!

who am I?

Freedom and my India

billion hearts beat together,

this is my India,

daily struggle of commoners,

men and women,

we may belong to distinct religions, castes and speak various languages,

but bound by a common destiny and ancestry,

my land preaches love and affection,

how can hatred dilute our hearts,

we shall stand to communal forces,

wrecking havoc on us,

one nation, one voice

against forces of evil,

a pledge to end poverty, hunger and malnutrition,

standing like a rock against sexism and sexual assault against women,

wipe off communal forces,

my India is a country of billions,

a prayer for change,

taking pride in our identity and root,

we invented Zero, after all,

my India,

will rise again to touch hearts.

Fearless voices,
celebrating colors of diversity,
unflinching unity,
One nation,
under the rainbow of Republic,
crushing caste and religion,
to coalescence into a single voice,
seamless humans,
spirit of togetherness,
prejudice has no name or reason to be,
thousands languages,
rich and timeless heritage,
teaching love in all its forms,
a pledge for national integration,
cornuscopia of faces,
we have limitless,
but one,
a powerful force,
no one dare to break,
being Indian,
is an emotion,
rooted and anchored,
a lifetime bond,
speaking the language of tolerance,
freedom is our pride.

opening up gateway of happiness and new promises.

O! Woman!

Who stole your affection?

Robbed you of your identity!

Hunger to love, lust, provide emotional warmth and care.

Hiding under the veil,

it's time to break away.

Bear your body and soul naked.

Let them judge for it shows their character not yours.

Discard the cloak of pretense.

True freedom lies flying in quest of your human fulfillment.

Dabbling roles,

they will thrust upon.

Fulfill them at your free will and not to their whims & fancies.

Bare your heart open,

stand naked.

Slap them hard if they dare,

for you are not weak.

False pride and ego,

archaic traditions to exploit you in the name of religion.

Walk your path,

for your eyes never lie.

The fault lies in them.

In the name of religion, caste and gender roles,

they will bark forever!

Be an inspiration to the new generation.

It's your way or the highway.

Shed darkness.

Be upright for your ethics can never be traded.

Barbing insults calling you loose, they will.

Since when, the world has stopped at insults.

Explore the world for it belongs to you.

You don't need a day to celebrate your identity, sexuality and awesomeness.
